As a Senior Associate, I lead cross-functional project teams to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications and social marketing campaigns on behalf of federal, state, and county public health agencies and private foundations.

  • Direct strategic communications for the Reproductive Health National Training Center (rhntc.org), leading a team of seven staff (editors, graphic and instructional designers, and event specialists) to develop and disseminate high-quality resources and training for the sexual and reproductive health field. Manage a multi-channel editorial calendar and develop content for a 5400+ subscriber newsletter and multiple social media platforms, including LinkedIn. Develop, implement, maintain standard operating procedures for all editing, design, and promotion activities. Use Google Analytics and native analytics tools to report on communication metrics, and work with evaluation team to develop annual summary infographics.

  • Lead strategic communications and dissemination strategy for the Delta Center for a Thriving Safety Net (deltacenterinitiative.org). Develop thought leadership pieces, case studies, grantee spotlights, videos, and blog posts to inform national and state-specific efforts to transform policy and practice change. Lead website content strategy, web development process, and maintenance, including mid-phase redesign.

  • Led a $1M multi-media, multi-lingual childhood immunization campaign in Santa Clara County, CA (“Vaccines Are Another Part of Growing Up”). Oversaw formative research to co-create messages with parents/caregivers, community leaders, and healthcare providers. Contributed to creative development, digital strategy, and implementation of paid and organic media strategy that generated over 33M impressions. The campaign received multiple design awards and a Silver Award for Overall Social Marketing in the 2024 North American Social Marketing Awards.

  • Led social media strategy and digital content creation for HIV Chill Pill, an HIV prevention campaign focused on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) geared toward gay and bisexual men in Washington state. Developed an Influencer Toolkit for campaign ambassadors.

  • Develop and implement tailored training products and technical assistance on communication planning and social media strategy for public health clients 

  • Develop relationships and manage contracts/SOWs with creative vendors, including video production, graphic designers, printers, and translators.

  • Co-lead knowledge management and business development for cross-office Health Communications team

  • Lead content strategy and maintenance of JSI’s Health Communications portfolio website

  • Led planning and training development for the APHA Social Media Lab from 2019 to 2023, in partnership with APHA Annual Meeting staff. Provided social media technical assistance via 1:1 appointments with public health professionals.

  • Liaise with JSI’s corporate communications team, contribute to editorial calendar, and develop blogs and social media content
